Studio values

Community + collaboration

We bring art to communities through painting murals that beautify existing public spaces, live painting at cultural events, and teaching art classes at our studio. We collaborate with clients to ensure that murals are meaningful to the client and their broader community.

Responsibility + reciprocity

We use our creative skills and talents to tell stories that inspire the personal and collective accountability needed for a responsible future. There is reciprocity in each artwork we create and we approach our relationships to the artwork, people, story and environment with intention and care

Play + experimentation

We allow ourselves to play and experiment in our art practice and find this leads us to healing, joy, innovation and art that reflects this. We aim to inspire our clients, communities and classes to play and experiment in their own creative expression.

Our Mission

Build Creative Communities

Whether in a cafe in the capital or a village co-operative store, our murals provide an opportunity for local communities to see themselves and their communities represented and cared for through beautification and visual storytelling.

Research shows that public art leads to increased care in the preservation and maintenance of the surrounding space, and we intend for each mural to serve as a seed of intention for future care and responsibility.

Inspire Social Change

We use art to address social and environmental issues and inspire positive changes. Our murals and paintings often include natural landscapes as a call to integrate and protect our local nature in an age where many have lost connection to the land and her wisdom. We create designs for changemakers including nonprofits, universities, activists and artists.

Nurture Creative Talent

We share our knowledge and skills through teaching classes at our studio and mentoring and training local artists.

We collaborate with local artists from all disciplines to connect and bring a visual spotlight to the incredible talent and traditions here.
