Environmental Graphic Design

Environmental Graphic Design uses the graphic elements such as typography, colour, imagery and texture to curate and enhance the experiences people have within a space. This includes wayfinding, branding and placemaking.

Jack Eastgate entered the world of Environmental Graphic Design in 2015 when he began his journey as a designer for Square Peg Design, a design firm based in Oakland, California. 6 years as an in-house designer allowed Jack to greatly expand his skillset with a huge variety of projects all over the world; from digital to analog interactive signs to gigantic 600 foot digital murals, working with large clients including Disney, Universal Studios, BART, Zynga and so many more.

Jack now combines this skillset with his skills in hand painting murals and building and painting hand-cut wood installations to create custom signage and branded artwork through Wai Roka Studios.
